2026 titleholders delivering care packages for foster children to Social Services and the Youth Advocate Program
Platforms are a major part of pageants throughout the country — a platform is a cause or organization a contestant advocates for and supports through volunteering.
When we brought the Seaway Festival Queen Pageant back in 2023, we began discussing how meaningful it would be to adopt an official platform for the pageant as a whole. The challenge was narrowing down our options, so, while we continued to build and grow the pageant, those conversations remained ongoing.
In April, during National Child Abuse Prevention Month, it finally became clear. What better cause to support than one close to the hearts of our Queens?
Jaedyn Awan, our 2023 Seaway Festival Queen and current Co-Director, has long been a passionate advocate for the rights and needs of abused and neglected children. She never hesitates to speak out in support of victims and is always willing to share her knowledge and experiences with anyone willing to learn. As the first Queen in this new era of the pageant, Jaedyn has remained actively involved as a mentor and leader for every contestant who has followed.
🌟 In Jaedyn’s honor, our committee of directors is proud to announce that the official platform of the Seaway Festival Queen Pageant is the support of local children in need, with special focus on the abused and neglected children in St. Lawrence County. 🌟
At our Day Camp, the pageant, and other events, we will take part in activities aimed at advancing this cause and making a tangible difference in the lives of local children.
Serving as Seaway Festival Queen at OISF events is already a fun and rewarding experience, and we’re thrilled about the opportunities our platform will create for contestants and winners to engage with the community and give back year-round.
